About You

Your committment to me:

To be open, frank and honest.

To let me know immediately of any concerns you have about our work together.

To undertake to give me a minimum of 24 hours notice if you need to change your appointment.

To understand that if you are late, give less than 24 hours notice, or forget your appointment, you will still be charged the usual fee, due to this time having been set aside especially for you.

To pay your account after each session. Payment can be made by cash, eftpos, credit card, or cheque made payable to Shirley Cornish Counselling.
To understand that to achievie a positive outcome requires considerable effort by you over time.

You will benefit most from counselling if you:

  • come with a positive expectation that counselling will be helpful.
  • speak openly about your ideas of what you think will help.
  • draw on your own strengths, consider all options, and include others     whom you love and trust and who are supportive.
  • realise that change often requires practice and perseverance.
